Popcorn Machine Instruction Manual
Important Safeguards
- Do not touch the hot surface directly with your hands. Use handles or knobs.
- Do not put the cord or plug into water or other liquids.
- Unplug the power cord when cleaning or not in use.
- Do not use this machine outdoors.
- Do not pop the kernels without oil.
- Do not touch the hot pot directly with your hands.
- Do not leave the power cord hanging over the edge of a table or counter or allow it to come into contact with any hot surfaces.
- Do not place the unit on or near a hot gas, electric burner, or heated oven.
- Be careful if moving the unit when it has hot oil or liquids.
- Turn ALL the switches ‘OFF’ before unplugging from the wall outlet.
- KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
- NEVER FORCE ANY PARTS OR BRACKETS INTO POSITION.
- Extreme caution must be used when unloading popcorn. Always turn the unit over a countertop, as that residual hot oil or water running out will not cause burns.
Using Your Popcorn Machine
- Make sure the popcorn maker is unplugged.
- Hook up the kettle onto the hanger of the main unit.
- Plug in the power cord to the popcorn maker.
- Turn on the light and heater and then put in butter or oil (Shown in Fig. 1). You can fill the amount with oil (Max. 15g) subject to your own preference.
- The kettle should be pre-heated for 3 to 4 minutes with oil (until steam comes out from it). Please prepare kernels with sugar. You can measure the amount of kernels with the measuring scoop provided, and the amount of sugar subject to your own preference. Liquid sugar and honey are prohibited.
- Open the lid and pour in pre-mixed kernels and sugar (Shown as Fig. 2). Caution: The lid might be hot, so use an oven mitten.
- Turn Switch on the Stirrer (Shown in Fig. 3).
- Carefully close the door .
- Popcorn starts popping out the lid in about 2 minutes (Shown in Fig. 4).
- Turn off the stirrer & heater when popping stops. Rotate the roller bar of the kettle and pour out the rest of the popcorn.
- Keep heater switch off if your finished. Keep the spotlight and warmer on to keep the popcorn warm.
- Serve your popcorn with the scoop.
- Unplug when done.
Cleaning
Wipe the doors, glass and metal surface with a clean damp cloth. DO NOT use any acidic, citrus based cleaners or abrasive cleaners on the acrylic doors as they might cause scratching or dullness.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
After you finish popping for the day, or your event, let kettle cool until it is not too hot to handle, but still warm. Unplug machine and remove all popcorn from inside kettle and machine. Empty the “catch drawer.” Wipe down inside of machine with damp towel. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WASH MACHINE OR ITS PARTS! Return popcorn machine to Royal Party Rentals where the machine will be thoroughly cleaned for next event.
